How large a file can FlyText open?

FlyText uses memory-mapped chunked loading; measured on NVMe, a 20 GB text file opens in about 0.9 s and a 20 GB binary enters the HEX view in about 0.7 s — open time is essentially independent of file size. Binary files open in HEX mode for byte-level viewing and editing.

Does the local AI autocomplete require an internet connection?

No. Autocomplete runs through the optional FlyAI inference service on your own machine. Your code and prompts never leave the device, so it works fully offline and suits air-gapped or classified environments.

Is FlyText available for macOS or Linux?

Currently Windows only (32-bit and 64-bit). macOS and Linux versions are in development.
