Privacy Policy

The short version: the FlyText editor collects nothing at all, and this website only processes what you deliberately type into a form. No tracking pixels, no analytics, no advertising, no data brokers.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Summary No telemetry in the app. No cookies for advertising or analytics on this site. No account required. Personal data is processed only when you buy a license, ask us to re-send a license, send feedback, or apply to become a reseller — and you can have it deleted at any time by emailing support@flysoft.vip.

1. Who we are

FlyText is a text editor for Windows published by FlySoft (“we”, “us”). This policy covers both the FlyText desktop application and the website at flytext.flysoft.vip.

For any privacy question or request, contact support@flysoft.vip. We normally answer within two business days.

2. The FlyText desktop application

The editor is designed so that your files never leave your computer. Specifically:

  • No telemetry. The app sends no usage statistics, no crash dumps to us, and no automatic version checks that identify you.
  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no cloud sync.
  • No background network activity. FlyText opens no listening sockets and maintains no background processes.
  • Your documents stay local. Files are read from and written to the paths you choose. Settings, session state and crash-recovery data are stored in your Windows user profile.
  • Local AI is genuinely local. The optional FlyAI component performs inference on your own machine. Your code and prompts are not uploaded. If you do not install FlyAI, none of this runs.

The one outbound request the app can make is the license activation check described in section 4, which happens only if you choose to register the product.

3. This website

The site is static. It sets no advertising cookies and embeds no third-party analytics, social widgets or trackers. The only thing stored in your browser is a language preference (flytext_lang) in localStorage, so the site remembers whether you wanted English, 中文, Español and so on. It contains no identifier and you can clear it from your browser settings.

Our web server records standard technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent) for security and abuse prevention — for example to rate-limit automated form submissions. These logs are not used to build profiles and are not sold.

4. Buying a license

If you buy a license, we process:

  • Email address — where the license file is delivered.
  • Device code — a string copied from FlyText (Help → Register → Copy Device Code). It consists of six one-way SHA-256 hashes of hardware identifiers (motherboard UUID, CPU, disk, network adapter MAC, TPM endorsement key, GPU). It is not reversible to your hardware details and is used solely to bind the license to that machine and to re-issue the license later.
  • Plan and order reference — needed to issue and support the license.

Payment card details never reach us. Checkout is handled by our payment processor, Creem, which collects the card data and remits the payment. Creem acts as an independent controller for the payment data it collects; its own privacy policy applies to that step. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded.

In the checkout flow we keep a short-lived audit record containing a SHA-256 hash of the device code, capped at 1,000 entries and discarded on a rolling basis. It exists to reconcile a payment with the correct license, not for marketing.

5. Feedback, license re-send and reseller enquiries

Three forms on this site ask for information, and each is optional to use:

FormWhat we ask forWhy
Feedback Feedback type, your message, and an email address only if you want a reply To read and, where you asked for it, answer your message
Lost license / re-send Your purchase email address and the device code from the licensed machine To verify the licence exists and re-send the license file to its owner
Reseller application Email address, contact name and a license quantity band To reply with a bulk-licensing quote

These submissions are relayed by email to our support inbox and are never sold, rented or used for advertising. We do not add you to a mailing list: there is no newsletter.

The re-send form deliberately answers with the same message whether or not a license was found. That prevents a stranger from using the form to discover who our customers are.

For users in the EEA and UK, our legal bases are:

  • Contract — issuing, delivering and supporting the license you bought.
  • Legitimate interests — answering feedback you sent us, preventing abuse of the forms, and keeping the service secure.
  • Consent — the browser language preference, and any email address you give us purely so we can reply.
  • Legal obligation — retaining purchase records for tax and accounting purposes for the period required by law.

7. Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors that help us run the service, each under contract and only for that purpose:

  • Creem — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (license files and confirmations).
  • Our hosting provider — running the web server and license issuer.

8. How long we keep it

  • License records — for the life of the license plus the statutory accounting retention period, because we must be able to re-issue your license.
  • Purchase records — as long as tax law requires.
  • Feedback and reseller enquiries — until they are resolved, and then deleted on request.
  • Server logs — a short rolling window for security purposes.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@flysoft.vip from the address associated with your license. We will verify ownership before acting, and we will not charge you or delay unreasonably.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

10. Children

FlyText is a general-purpose tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, note them on this page. We will never retroactively start collecting more data from the editor without saying so clearly.
