Terms of Service

The plain-English summary: FlyText is free to download and use. A paid licence removes the registration prompt and supports development — it is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Don’t pirate it, don’t reverse-engineer it, and back up your own files.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

These terms are a contract. By downloading, installing or using FlyText you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the software. Questions: support@flysoft.vip.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between you (“you”, “Licensee”) and FlySoft, the publisher of FlyText (“we”, “us”, “Licensor”), and they govern the FlyText desktop application, the optional FlyAI component and the website at flytext.flysoft.vip.

2. Free use and evaluation

FlyText may be downloaded and used free of charge. The unregistered build keeps the full core editing functionality — opening and editing files, large-file handling, syntax highlighting, search and replace, HEX mode, themes and so on. No account, no time limit and no payment is required to use it.

3. Paid licence

Purchasing a licence is a one-time payment, not a recurring subscription. Two durations are offered:

PlanPrice (USD)Entitlement
1-year licence $39 Registered use of FlyText for 12 months from the purchase date, on the licensed machine
5-year licence $99 Registered use of FlyText for 60 months from the purchase date, on the licensed machine
  • Free updates. All updates within your licence period are included at no extra cost, including new minor and major versions.
  • Scope. A licence is issued for one machine, identified by the device code you supply at checkout. One licence covers one installation.
  • Transfer. If you replace or rebuild a machine, contact us and we will re-issue the licence for the new device code. This is free of charge and is not treated as a new purchase.
  • Delivery. The licence file is emailed to the address given at checkout. You can have it re-sent at any time from the licence recovery page.
  • Expiry. When a licence expires, the software does not lock your files or stop working — it reverts to unregistered behaviour. Your documents are never held hostage.

4. What you may not do

You may not:

  • Distribute, sell, sublicense, rent or lease FlyText or a licence file;
  • Share, publish or bulk-generate licence files, or activate a single licence on more machines than it was issued for;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, or attempt to derive or circumvent the licence verification scheme, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it notwithstanding this restriction;
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark or licence notices;
  • Use the software to build a competing product, or to train a model offered as a competing editing product.

Volume and resale licensing. Businesses, system integrators and regional resellers who need multiple licences should use the reseller programme rather than buying individual licences. Bulk discounts start at 50 licences.

5. The FlyAI component

FlyAI is an optional, separately installed local inference service. If you install it:

  • Inference runs entirely on your own hardware; your code and prompts are not uploaded to us or to any third party.
  • Completion suggestions are generated by a machine-learning model. They can be wrong, insecure or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing anything you accept before it enters your files, exactly as you would review a suggestion from a colleague.
  • You must not use FlyAI to generate output that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Not installing FlyAI has no effect on the rest of FlyText.

6. Refunds and cancellation

  • 14-day refund window. If you are not satisfied, email support@flysoft.vip from the address used at checkout within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full.
  • No automatic renewal. Because licences are one-time purchases, there is nothing to cancel and no recurring charge to stop.
  • EEA and UK consumers. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including the right to a remedy for faulty digital content.

Refunds are issued back through the original payment method by our payment processor, Creem.

7. Your files and your responsibility

You are responsible for backing up your own data. FlyText edits files on disk in place. Although the app includes crash recovery and auto-save, no editor is a substitute for a backup. Keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

8. Privacy

Use of the software and website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what little data we process. In short: the editor has no telemetry, and the website collects only what you type into a form.

9. Warranty disclaimer

FlyText is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, data use, goodwill or anticipated savings, however caused and on any theory of liability, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — FlyText, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the software is limited to the amount you actually paid for your current licence term, or, if you have not purchased a licence, to nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes to the software and to these terms

We may improve, change or discontinue features. Updates within your licence period are included. We may also update these terms; when we do, we revise the date at the top and, for material changes, note them on this page. Continuing to use FlyText after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Termination

Your licence ends automatically at the end of its term, or immediately if you materially breach section 4. On termination you must stop using the software and delete any licence files. Sections 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Where local consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, that law continues to apply and nothing in this section reduces it.
